Sunday AM: Got craving for my homemade spaghetti sauce.
Sunday PM: Called Mom for great-grandfather’s meatball recipe. Called friends to see if I could bring homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs to their house for dinner Thursday night in exchange for homemade crepes with Nutella and french lessons.
Monday PM: Made homemade sauce and meatballs–Delicious. Okay, meatballs a little burnt, but still taste good.
Thursday MIDDAY: Go to put sauce on low so it can be warm for dinner. Can’t find sauce in fridge. Realize I never put sauce in fridge. Left sauce in pan on stove since Monday afternoon. Lift lid. Discover sauce covered in mold. Contemplate scooping off the mold and bringing anyway. Decide I like my friends too much. Frustrated. Look in cupboard–see Ragu. Glad I have good friends who will understand. Now really craving homemade sauce and meatballs!!!!
Oh well, there is always next Thursday. I guess I’m glad to know that when I’m having one of those days there is always Ragu and good friends who will still like me anyway, although I think I’ll wait to get there to tell them about the mishap in case they reconsider the crepes.
