Maggie Downie is a Pilates Instructor and the owner of Personal Euphoria. She has a B.A in history from Eastern Connecticut State University. She has been studying Pilates since 2002. She is certified in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Mat Pilates through STOTT. Maggie has also taken courses in Pilates for breast cancer rehabilitation, and Pilates for pre and post-natal clients. She has also taken classes and trained under Pilates Elders Mary Bowen, Ron Fletcher, and Lolita San Miguel. Her enthusiastic, upbeat personality is effective in helping students become energized about health and wellness.

 

Jeannine has been studying Pilates since 2005. She has a background in dance and studied under dance pioneer Truda Kaschmann, contemporary of Joseph Pilates. She is certified through the School of the Hartford Ballet. Jeannine has taught in a variety of venues to a number of different age groups. She is a proud mother of two with a huge smile and a great laugh.Her healthy choices concerning wellness are sure to rub off.

 

Fitness and wellness are an integral part of Susan's life. She has studied Pilates since 2006 and found Pilates training to be a wonderful addition to her strength and cardio workout program. Susan believes that by making fitness fun participants are able to make a life change and a lifelong commitment to getting fit and staying fit. You will find Susan to be a patient and caring instructor.

 

Jessica has been studying Pilates since 2003. She decided in the Fall of 2007 to share her love of Pilates by becoming an instructor. Jessica has been active in fitness and athletics throughout her life. She holds cheerleading clinics at the elementary school where she has taught first grade for the last eight years. Jessica's sincere enthusiasm for life, Pilates, and people makes everyone feel comfortable under her instruction.

 

Katy has been studying pilates since 2008. She loves how pilates lets her get a great work out while also lying down! Katy is certified through PEAK in Mat Pilates and has also trained through STOTT for Mat Pilates. Katy is an avid runner and incorporates pilates into her training as a way to enhance her entire body. She completed her first half-marathon in the fall of 2008 and sees more on the horizon. Katy will graduate from the University of Connecticut with a degree in psychology in May 2009. Katy is kind and you are sure to enjoy a great workout during one of her classes.

 
Donna is currently subbing at Personal Euphoria, so don't be surprised if you see her smiling face in one of your classes. She has been studying Pilates for two years and is a phenomenal example of incorporating fitness into daily life.  
Laura has been in the fitness industry since 2000. She is a certified Pilates instructor, certified Spin instructor, certified Balletone instructor, Certified Kick Box instructor and a Certified Holistic Health Coach. She has been teaching Pilates since 2004. Laura is married with three children, two dogs, two birds and one fish. Laura has a great energy in class.  
heather has trained with STOTT Pilates. Her primary focus is on technique and quality of movement enabling her students to achieve their individual goals regardless of age or fitness level. Heather is not new to the fitness world. She began Pilates with the encouragement of her daughter to re-new her relationship with her own body. Heather also works at the New Britain Museum of American Art and is an avid photographer who spends her leisurely time painting and reading.  

 

   
cathy started studying Pilates for dancers in 2004. She has participated in the STOTT Mat Pilates certification program and is in the process of taking additional courses to increase her level of certification. Cathy is a graduate student at UCONN studying Kinesiology. Her focus is preventative medicine through exercise and proper nutrition. Cathy is an active person who consistently uses Pilates to center and strengthen her body. She is extremely excited to share all the positive energy Pilates has brought to her life with the rest of the community.  
     
     

GINA has always been passionate about fitness and has incorporated exercise into her daily life since her teens. Nine years ago, Gina made a career choice to follow her dream and became certified as a Group Fitness Instructor through AAFA, and opened a health club with programs geared towards women. Today Gina has broadened her certifications to include Pilates, Kickboxing, Step and Senior fit. Gina's enthusiasm is sure to be infectious, and her classes will always feel fresh and challenging. If you don't find Gina teaching or working on new routines, she will likely be hiking the nearby trails of Birch Mountain with her husband and two dogs, Nestle and Buddy.

   

DEB is very excited to be a part of the Personal Euphoria team. She teaches the Interval Training class where she looks forward to motivaing people to work hard and get results. Deb is certified in group fitness throug ACE. She is married and is the proud mother of two boys. Running is one of her passions and she will run her first marathon in Hartford in October 2011. Deb hopes to inspire you and share her love of exercise with the community.
