On St. Patty’s Day I went to see the Red Hot Chili Pipers in Springfield, MA. What a wonderful show. For two hours this bagpipe-rock band played while basically running, jumping, and doing high knees through invisible tires. It was so impressive. They were so good at what they did, and the performance reminded me that to get a good workout or even break a sweat you don’t have to do an activity that is generally categorized as exercise. You can go for a hike, go dancing, apparently play the bagpipes very passionately, do a day’s gardening, or play tag football with some friends. What do you like to do that gets the heart rate moving?
