So I occasionally set certain goals for myself.  For a while it was that I wanted visible triceps.  Then I was working on being able to do a handstand.  I actually started to make progress on that, and I’m much better, but I still can’t balance without a wall behind me.  And I’m nowhere near being able to do a push up in a handstand position.  I’m still working on it but not with as much vigor as when I started.
I’ve always wanted to be able to hold onto a pole, arms extended and support my entire body so that I’m horizontal to the floor in the air.  In fairness, I’ve never actually started practicing this one because I think it is so far out of my reach.
Lately, I’d like to be able to do the Peacock from yoga.  Luckily handstands should be decent practice for this, but it’s really quite hard.  I think it will be good for me though because my glutes tend to be lazy.  They often don’t work unless I consciously engage them.  They have no choice on this exercise.  Not if I’m going to be able to do it.
I hope I stick with this goal until I get it.
