A Walk in the Winter

I love walking.  And while I’ll admit I miss the snow (an unpopular opinion, I know), I do enjoy that we’ve had some 60-degree days this winter to walk.  I’ve been walking 3-5 miles per day at least three times per week.  It’s unlikely it will last long.  The days will get colder; I have some busy weeks coming up, but every time I get out for a walk I enjoy it.
Plus when Matt comes with me it is time we spend together where neither of us is distracted by the TV, PC or phone.  And as an added bonus it’s one of the best things you can do for your health.  It’s good for your whole body and easy on the joints.
On that 60-degree Saturday a couple weekends ago we went to the West Hartford Reservoir.  I’d never been there, but I can say this: Go.  It’s a beautiful place to spend the day outside.

Thank you for giving your time to stop and read my blog. I hope it encourages you to keep moving. Move and the body will be happier. And when you're moving you can hike, run, swim in Jell-O, race over non-Newtonian fluids, travel the world or build igloos--if that's your thing. If not, you can watch me do it. This is just a spot to try and feel good about life.
