You may know that I have a hard time with meditation. And, quite frankly, it’s a self-improvement I’m not working very hard to improve. However, when I read a mediation tip that I think might be helpful to me, I assume it might be helpful to others who have a hard time meditating. This one seemed like it would be calming and that I might be able to focus on it (at least for a little while). Try it:

Close your eyes and notice the darkness behind your eyes. Then focus on your breath. Inhale and exhale as deeply as you can. Feel the air coming in your nose and notice that it is cool as it flows in and warm as it flows out.

Or try this:

Do a couple of your favorite pilates exercises—pick one or two—and focus on syncing the breath with the movement. Really just concentrate on the breathing moving in time to the motion. Then try the exercise above.
