Love My Classes

With all the snow cancellations I have really come to appreciate my classes, even more than usual. Teaching pilates is one of my favorite parts about my job. I’d rather have paperwork canceled than my classes. Oh, if only paperwork could get canceled.

So last week when Newington ran the Wednesday evening classes after the ice storm, I was thrilled. I’m a complete extrovert. People give me energy so being stuck at home, often working by myself, is not good for my mental well being. Whatever class of mine that you are enrolled in, you should know that I enjoy my job as much as I do because of you. I’m not sucking up. It’s true. It’s my personality. If you take a class with another Personal Euphoria instructor, I think most of us feel similarly. It’s our nature.

Well, on Wednesday, everyone came to class feeling stiff from shoveling or tense from being cooped up for days. At the end of the class multiple people made a similar comment: “Oh, I’m so glad I came. I feel so much better than when I got here.” I did too.

I was overjoyed. You have no idea how much comments like that made my day. The fact that you felt better is a testament to pilates (and all types of movement) which validates what I do for a living, and it’s always nice to feel validated.

And all I can say in return is, “Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!” You all make me feel better each and every day.
