Travel Plans?

Do you have plans to travel this holiday season? Starting next week will you be in a car, a plane, or a train on a regular basis?

Travel is not an excuse to miss out on your regular routine. Plus doing some exercise will help make the whole trip feel better. Here are some suggestions for when you are traveling and trapped in small, confined spaces:

  • Airport terminals and gas stations are a good place for jumping jacks or running in place for a minute.
  • Pelvic Tilts can be done anywhere as can: shoulder rolls, pointing and flexing the feet, head nods, deep breathing, mini-side bends.
  • Squirm. Just let the body move and wiggle around a little in the space it has. Kids do it and we often tell them not to, but what they innately understand is that the body wants to move.

Thank you for giving your time to stop and read my blog. I hope it encourages you to keep moving. Move and the body will be happier. And when you're moving you can hike, run, swim in Jell-O, race over non-Newtonian fluids, travel the world or build igloos--if that's your thing. If not, you can watch me do it. This is just a spot to try and feel good about life.
