Pelvic Floor

Women in class often ask me about their pelvic floor–typically referred to as Kegel muscles. There is so much to say about them, but a colleague recently sent me a link to this video. It’s great–a little technical and not professionally filmed–but very helpful in enabling you to see what we mean in Pilates when we refer to the Kegel or the pelvic floor.

Since not everyone likes to talk about this area of the body, this is a way for you to learn in the privacy of your own home (where giggles are totally acceptable–especially when this women’s model-vagina falls to the floor.)
