More Food on Display

Taking pictures of your food really helps you to see your food. That sounds silly, but I’m realizing how repetitive my diet is. This morning I planned to have eggs, but didn’t have time to make them. My diet is repetitive because that is easy. I love to cook, but don’t have a lot of time to make incredible meals. I also don’t like waste so I eat a lot of left overs. So I’m not sure how much I’ll change, but it’s good to know. I tend to go through phases. In the winter I’ll eat a lot of oatmeal. In the summer, more cereal or smoothies. I get in a humus phase or a tuna phase.

Wednesday, 3/17

Exercise: None
Breakfast: Oatmeal again with a little all natural cranberry juice (this means no sugar is added so I put about 1 part cranberry juice to 1-million parts water to dilute it)
Snack: Granola Bar
Lunch: Goat Cheese Salad (again–see pic from yesterday) with Cinnamon Spice Tea (not pictured)
Dinner: Pre-made meal from Whole Foods: Chicken, asparagus, spiced potatoes
Snack: Nutella on Banana, followed by another banana with nutella and peanut butter

So I finally caved. I had nutella but because of the picture posting I really didn’t want to have it on bread so I decided a banana seemed healthy and therefore legitimate. Turns out, it tastes even better on a banana, which is good to know. Still felt hungry so had another and added some peanut butter. This seemed to fill me up. Don’t think I passed on anything I wanted.

Thank you for giving your time to stop and read my blog. I hope it encourages you to keep moving. Move and the body will be happier. And when you're moving you can hike, run, swim in Jell-O, race over non-Newtonian fluids, travel the world or build igloos--if that's your thing. If not, you can watch me do it. This is just a spot to try and feel good about life.
