It’s Not About Losing Weight

People often want to lose weight just for the sake of losing weight. Clearly with the number of people who struggle to lose weight, that isn’t a big enough motivator, and I’m not entirely sure it should be. Consider these options for eating right and exercising more. Instead of posting “skinny images” around the house, print out these concepts and hang them up:

  • Better Body Image
  • Live To See Grandkids
  • Sleep Better
  • More Energy
  • Cleaner Arteries
  • Stronger Body
  • Less Winded
  • More Flexible
  • Stronger Bones

This is only a start. Imagine what it would feel like to get a better quality of life, not what it would be like to be thin. We should all carve to be healthy as much as we long to be thin–myself included.

Thank you for giving your time to stop and read my blog. I hope it encourages you to keep moving. Move and the body will be happier. And when you're moving you can hike, run, swim in Jell-O, race over non-Newtonian fluids, travel the world or build igloos--if that's your thing. If not, you can watch me do it. This is just a spot to try and feel good about life.
