Healthy Tip 17: Educate Yourself

Is there something you want to know more about pertaining to your health and wellness? Look it up. The Internet makes learning extremely easy as long as the site you are on is legitimate. Visit your library and check out a book on mediation or Pilates or yoga or nutrition or whatever your heart desires.

I’m currently halfway through Barbara Kingsolver’s Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. It’s eye opening, although I feel guilty about everything I put in my mouth. I may not change my life as drastically as she and her family changed theirs, but when I finish the book, I do intend on making some changes in the foods I eat. The truth of the matter is, though, even if I didn’t change anything, reading about the information provides knowledge on a topic I think is important.

Kingsolver is a great writer and I think the book is a great read.

Thank you for giving your time to stop and read my blog. I hope it encourages you to keep moving. Move and the body will be happier. And when you're moving you can hike, run, swim in Jell-O, race over non-Newtonian fluids, travel the world or build igloos--if that's your thing. If not, you can watch me do it. This is just a spot to try and feel good about life.
