Get the whole family involved in dinner. Try making it together and then eating it together. Pick a day once a week that you will eat together. This is a tradition that my family has had since I was a little girl and we still get together every Tuesday night at my Dad’s house. Some of my siblings no longer live in Connecticut, so they come when they are home. Those of us who are local all try to make it a priority (it’s why I don’t typically teach Pilates on Tuesday nights).
We have a wonderful, home-cooked meal. So the food is good for our health, but so is the company. Surrounding yourself with those who care about you is a healthy trait. If your family isn’t local, you can start this tradition with a group of close friends.
