Slow Down You Move too Fast

Simon and Garfunkel had it right, but we aren’t also so great at remembering those words. Sometimes I think alarm clocks should be programs to go off in the morning singing the tune, “Slow Down. You move too fast. You’ve got to make the moment last.” Then we’d be reminded from the moment we wake up.

Our life can get so harried that we miss all the wonderful, often little, moments. This week when you feel yourself getting rushed or pressured, try and take a deep breath and let Simon and Garfunkel’s words run through your head. Stop for a moment and remind yourself of what is important (your health, your family, your dearest friends, etc.).

Sometimes our stressors are so great it doesn’t always help, but sometimes all we really need is a little reminder to set us on the right track. It’s worth a shot.

Thank you for giving your time to stop and read my blog. I hope it encourages you to keep moving. Move and the body will be happier. And when you're moving you can hike, run, swim in Jell-O, race over non-Newtonian fluids, travel the world or build igloos--if that's your thing. If not, you can watch me do it. This is just a spot to try and feel good about life.
